NFC cards and QR codes

Touch or scan to play the paired audio.

Eliozz can bind one audio to an official signed e Tag and a separate QR code. Both are doorways, not storage: the real audio stays on your iPhone or iPad.

Eliozz

Bind and use NFC or QR

01

Choose an audio

Open album details and swipe right on the audio you want to bind.

02

Choose an entry

Bind a QR code with the camera, or bind NFC by scanning an official Eliozz e Tag.

03

See the edge markers

The QR marker sits above the Eliozz E marker when both entry methods are bound.

04

Scan or touch to play

The Library scanner plays immediately; you can also hold the Home Screen icon and choose Scan QR Code. For NFC, touch the e Tag and tap the iOS notification.

NDEF · URL

What is stored in a card or code?

Free QR uses a random /e/… link. An official e Tag uses a UID-bound signed /n/… link. Neither contains audio or identity data, and the website has no album, audio, or binding lookup database.

No recording

Audio is never written to an NFC card or QR code, or uploaded to the Eliozz website.

No identity

NFC and QR contain no name, account, album name, audio name, or device identifier.

Private sync

Bindings are local by default; paid Cloud Sync can restore audio and bindings on devices using the same iCloud account.

iPhone & iPad

Device compatibility

The current version requires iOS 15+. iPhone 7, 8, and X can actively read NFC, while background touch notifications require iPhone XS, XR, or later. iPad can use QR, recording, and playback but cannot actively scan NFC.

Unbind or transfer

Swipe right to unbind QR or NFC separately. An official e Tag can be unbound, rebound, or transferred to another audio without limit. These actions change only local data: they never rewrite the tag, delete audio, or invalidate the tag. One tag maps to one audio at a time in the current library.

Before you begin

  • The app does not initialise or write blank NFC tags; official e Tags receive their signed link during production and remain writable.
  • Without Cloud Sync or another restorable backup, deleting the app or erasing the device may remove recordings and bindings.
  • First binding verifies the NTAG215 physical UID and Eliozz signature. A normal tag or a URL copied to another chip cannot be bound. During a passive touch, iOS cannot expose the physical UID again.
  • iOS shows a system notification first; the user must tap it to open the app.
  • QR codes can be photographed or copied and must not be treated as identity, security, or authenticity credentials.

Start with one audio and one simple entry.

Download Eliozz, open album details, and swipe an audio row right to find QR and NFC actions.
