1. Content in the Eliozz app
Albums, audio files, album covers, dates, ordering, playback details, and NFC and QR bindings stay on your device by default. No Eliozz account is required.
If you purchase and enable Eliozz Cloud Sync, that content is uploaded to the CloudKit private database associated with your current iCloud account for backup and device-to-device sync. The Eliozz website and tag service do not receive it.
2. Information we do not collect
- No name, email address, phone number, or login credentials are required.
- We do not collect audio, album covers, album names, audio names, or listening history.
- We use no advertising SDK and create no advertising profile from app use.
- We do not use website analytics for advertising, cross-site advertising tracking, or personal identification.
3. Microphone, camera, photos, and NFC permissions
The app asks only when you use a related feature. The microphone records audio; photos provide album covers; the camera takes covers and scans Eliozz QR codes; NFC reads a prewritten link. QR images are processed on-device and are not uploaded to the website. You can manage permissions in iOS Settings.
4. Importing, exporting, and sharing
When you choose to import, export, or share audio, the selected file may be processed by another app, storage provider, or recipient you select. Once it leaves Eliozz, that service’s privacy terms apply.
5. Optional Eliozz Cloud Sync
Cloud Sync is a non-consumable, one-time in-app purchase. Apple processes payment, purchase history, and refunds. The purchase does not add iCloud storage. Purchase restoration uses the App Store account, while cloud content belongs to the current iCloud account; these may be different Apple Accounts.
Cloud Sync uses an Apple CloudKit private database for album details, audio, album covers, playback details, and NFC and QR bindings. It does not create a visible folder in iCloud Drive or the Files app. We do not claim end-to-end encryption beyond the protection Apple provides for CloudKit.
Turning sync off does not move or delete local files. Before allowing deletion of the Eliozz cloud copy, the app checks that audio and covers are available on the current device. Only content that completed uploading can be restored from iCloud.
6. Website and technical logs
www.eliozz.com uses Microsoft Clarity to help us understand aggregate website use and improve layout and interactions, such as page visits, device and browser type, clicks, and scrolling. Eliozz does not use this information for advertising or to identify individuals. Clarity does not receive recordings, covers, album names, audio names, or binding status from the app. QR generation previews are excluded from Clarity session recording, and Clarity is not loaded on /e/* or /n/* pages containing unique tag addresses. Microsoft processes the technical information it receives under its privacy policy.
Our hosting provider, Vercel, may process standard HTTP technical data—such as IP address, request time, User-Agent, and requested path—to secure and deliver the site. We do not use this analytics or these logs to profile users or children.
7. NFC, QR, and the local generator
An official e Tag contains a UID-bound signed address and free QR contains a random address. Neither contains audio, album data, or personal identity. The QR tool uses Web Crypto to generate IDs locally; IDs, images, PDFs, and ZIP files are not sent to an Eliozz API. The website has no tag lookup database and never reports binding state. QR codes can be copied and are not security credentials.
8. Children’s privacy
Eliozz is intended for parents and guardians who manage family stories. Children are not asked to create accounts, and the product does not actively collect children’s personal information. A parent or guardian should decide what to record, import, sync, and share.
9. Retention, deletion, and security
You can delete albums and audio in the app. When Cloud Sync is in use, that deletion also syncs to iCloud and other synced devices. Turning off Cloud Sync does not remove local files. Removing the app or erasing a device can still remove content that has not finished syncing, so verify the latest sync or another restorable backup first. No storage method is perfectly secure; use a device passcode and protect your Apple accounts.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. A new version will be published here with a revised date at the top of the page.
