Help & FAQ
Start here for common questions
Eliozz recording, stories, and bindings happen mainly on your device. These steps cover permissions, storage, NFC, importing, and playback.
Frequently asked questions
Where are my recordings stored?
Recordings and story details live in Eliozz app data on your device and are not uploaded to an Eliozz content server. Export important audio and verify your backup before deleting the app, moving devices, or erasing one.
Why can’t I start recording?
Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and allow Eliozz. Check that the device has free space and that a call or another recording app is not using the microphone.
Can one story have several versions?
Yes. Keep different narrators, languages, or edits together, then rename, share, delete, or bind each audio version separately.
How do I back up or move stories?
Use the audio row’s Share action to export important files to Files, storage, or another destination you choose. Eliozz currently has no account or automatic content-cloud sync.
Why did playback stop after locking the screen?
Confirm playback started, the system volume is audible, and another app has not taken over audio. Eliozz supports background audio and iOS system playback controls.
How do I bind an NFC card?
In story details, swipe right on the target audio, choose “Bind NFC card”, and scan a prewritten Eliozz card with a supported iPhone.
Why can’t my iPad scan NFC?
An iPad without Core NFC scanning can still record, organise, and play stories, but it cannot actively scan a card. Use a supported iPhone for scanning.
What if the card belongs to another audio version?
The app shows the current source. After you confirm the transfer, the old audio is unbound and the new one receives the card, keeping one card paired with one version on that device.
Why do I see a webpage after touching the card?
Install the latest Eliozz and tap the iOS NFC notification when it appears. If the app was not installed, iOS opens this guide; install it, then touch the card again.
What happens if I delete a story or the app?
Deleting an audio version or story removes related local bindings. Removing the app or erasing the device may remove all local recordings and bindings, and the website cannot restore them.
If it still does not work
- 1Confirm the device runs iOS or iPadOS 17 or later and has the newest Eliozz version.
- 2Check microphone, photo, and NFC-related permissions again in iOS Settings.
- 3Make sure there is enough device storage, then fully close and reopen the app.
- 4For NFC, remove a thick or metal case and move the top of the iPhone slowly near the card.
- 5Do not delete the app before exporting or verifying a backup.
